Consumer product safety attracts more and more attention, and every link of consumer products, such as the supervision, trade, design, manufacture and marketing, has become globalized. In this situation, it is impossible to ensure the safety of products from any single link, for it is a common responsibility for every related stakeholder. Only by recognizing this common responsibility and enhancing cooperation can we better facilitate international consumer product trade and protect consumers’ health and safety. ICPHSO is once again heading to Europe. Its fourth European meeting and training seminar will be held in Brussels on November 18th and 19th. This ICPHSO event will be the cornerstone of an international consumer product safety week being hosted by the European Commission. Other events already confirmed for the same week include meetings of PROSAFE (Product Safety Enforcement Forum of Europe), the ICPSC (International Consumer Product Safety Caucus for regulators) and the final conference of the PROSAFE project EMARS (Enhancing Market Surveillance through Best Practice).
