ICPHSO Midwest Consumer Product Safety Compliance Training

Product Safety today is more critical than ever - just read your newspaper, watch TV, or listen to the radio. It's everywhere!

This one day intensive compliance training will provide industry and all other participants with the most current information on CPSC product recalls, practices and procedures, engineering, and human factors considerations in the safe design of consumer products, reporting obligations under Section 15 and steps to take to be prepared in the event you face a recall situation. Also, hear about the latest Consumer Product Safety legislative proposals and CPSC interaction with foreign governments that will affect you.

Who Should Attend
This training workshop is designed for any company or organization involved with consumer products. This includes manufacturers, importers, distributors, retailers, testing laboratories, trade associations, insurance companies, consultants, attorneys, state and local government regulators and others.

Speakers and Handouts
Speakers will include key CPSC officials with extensive regulatory backgrounds that make decisions concerning the safety of consumer products CPSC staff will be complemented by outside attorneys, experts and company decision makers, so expect a lively discussion of product safety issues. Make sure you bring a list of questions that you need answered since panelists will encourage interactive discussion among all workshop attendees. A special Keynote Luncheon Speaker is also included.
