Welcome to Consumer product safety is a vitally important public
issue
Read 2006 Bethesda Declaration Founded in 1993, ICPHSO is an organization dedicated to the health and safety issues related to consumer products manufactured and marketed in the global marketplace. ICPHSO holds a unique position in its ability to attract the interest of a broad range of health and safety professionals and interested consumers, world-wide. ICPHSO sponsors both annual and regional workshops. These workshops serve as training programs to inform and educate manufacturers, importers, distributors, retailers, and others of their product safety responsibilities. In addition, the organization provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and sharing of information among government, industry, trade organizations, legal representatives, academia, standards writers, consumer advocates, and interested individuals. ICPHSO provides individuals with an opportunity to take leadership roles to address health and safety issues affecting all consumers. Consumer product safety attracts more and more attention, and every link of consumer products, such as the supervision, trade, design, manufacture and marketing, has become globalized. In this situation, it is impossible to ensure the safety of products from any single link, for it is a common responsibility for every related stakeholder. Only by recognizing this common responsibility and enhancing cooperation can we better facilitate international consumer product trade and protect consumers’ health and safety. Watch for more details on our 16th Annual Symposium in February, 2009 - Orlando, Florida. |
