ICPHSO Report / January 2017
Executive Director's Report
As we approach the deadlines for registration and hotel sign up for the ICPHSO 2017 Annual Meeting and Training Symposium, Planning Chairman Rick Brenner, and his team of volunteers on the symposium planning committee have put together a symposium filled with the latest product safety information. There is something for everyone and I encourage all to check out the Agenda for session information as it is being updated daily. Our Symposium theme, Evaluating & Managing Risk in Product Safety is covered throughout the week and should help all attendees as we all strive to keep consumer products safe. Thanks to all our sponsors and exhibitors for their commitment to providing attendees with critical needed safety information that can be used throughout the year. We have again strived to provide networking opportunities throughout the week during breaks and at receptions. Again, this year, ICPHSO Past President, Carol Pollack-Nelson will coordinate an onsite job matching program that can assist both companies with current and future job openings, as well as safety professionals interested in potential employment opportunities. Text or email Carol directly at email@example.com (301-728-9133) if you want to participate in the job matching program.
It’s also not too early to start planning to attend our 2017 Regional Product Safety Training Workshop which will be held June 28, 2017, in Toronto, Canada. Board Member Eli Szamosi is coordinating this regional meeting which will feature sessions of interest to all members and non-members who manufacture and distribute products for sale in Canada and the United States. You won’t want to miss this one day event. More information will be announced soon.
If you have any suggestions or need assistance before, during or after the Symposium, please don’t hesitate to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I am looking forward to seeing you in Orlando and I am excited about ICPHSO’s future as we continue to grow and provide information to global safety and health professionals.
