Call For Presentations Now CLOSED - Agenda to be announced in July 2017
ICPHSO is now accepting proposals for presentations during the International Symposium being held in Tokyo, Japan on November 14 and 15, 2017. Presentation proposals must be non-commercial in nature and pertain to topics of interest to the worldwide consumer product safety community. The proposals can be for general plenary sessions, workshops or panels.
The theme of this year’s program is "It started with an idea: safety in the product life cycle." We are specifically seeking proposals and suggestions to address topics based on this general theme. The concept of the "product life cycle" can be interpreted broadly. The theme is intended to encompass safety considerations and issues throughout the life of a product: from the initial conception and design stage, to manufacturing processes and sales, through to ensuring safety at the end of a product's usable life. The concept of "life-cycle" can also be considered in relation to users themselves, thinking about safety in relation to children and young users, the elderly, and other vulnerable users. Looking at "ideas" will bring in discussions around new technologies and innovation, including safety implications of robotics, connected products and smart technology.
